The rain sensor for irrigation system automatically shuts off your sprinkler system when it rains, so you don't have to worry when you're home or away. When raindrops come into contact with sensors on the sensor, the sensor will send a signal telling the sprinkler system to stop working. This can ensure that the sprinkler system does not waste water resources in case of rain.It offers flexible, multiple rainfall settings which are quick and easy to adjust with a twist of the dial.
The sprinkler rain sensor is simple and reliable. It can help users make reasonable use of water resources, reduce waste, and improve the efficiency of sprinkler irrigation systems.
● Easily installs on any automatic irrigation system
● Debris tolerant for reliable operation without unnecessary shutdowns
● Can be set to shut system off from ⅛",1/4",1/2",3/4" and 1" of rainfall
● Includes 25' of 20 AWG sheathed, two-conductor wire
Note:
NOTE: The Rain Sensor is a low-voltage device compatible with all 24 volt alternating current (VAC) control circuits and 24 VAC pump start relay circuits. Electrical rating suitable for use with controllers that can actuate up to ten 24 VAC, 7 VA solenoid valves per station, plus one master valve. DO NOT use with any 110/250 VAC devices or circuits, such as direct-acting pump start systems or pump start relays.
● Mount as close as possible to the timer. This will cause the wire run to be shorter, which minimizes the possibility of wire breaks.
● Mount in the highest possible position where rain can fall directly upon the sensor.
● Install the Rain Sensor in a location where it can collect natural precipitation without interference from man-made or natural obstructions. Place the device at a height that deters vandalism.
● DO NOT install the Rain Sensor where the device's ability to collect and record natural precipitation events are affected by sprinklers, rain gutters, trees, etc.
● DO NOT install the Rain Sensor where it could accumulate debris from trees.
● DO NOT install the Rain Sensor in a location exposed to high winds.
